-
Peel the onions then, slice them thinly
-
Heat the olive oil in a pan and when it turns a little hot then add onions to it
-
Now, let the onions cook over a low heat for about 5 minutes till they turn a bit tender
-
Add tomato puree and sauté it.
-
Add salt and black pepper powder to the pan
-
Then, drain the water and add cheese and the onion sauce that you just made
-
Stir in the sauce and the cheese well with the pasta
-
Meanwhile, cook pasta in plenty of water
-
After a few minutes, check the pasta by breaking one of its piece with a fork
-
If the piece breaks easily and seems to be soft, then turn off the heat and strain out the water. Otherwise, cook it till it reaches this point.
-
After straining out the water, add the onion sauce that we just made, to this pan
-
While stirring add cheese to the pan
-
Keep on stirring it for a minute and then, let it cook by covering it and keeping it over a low heat
-
Let it cook for about 5-10 mintues. Stir it in between.
-
Meanwhile, taste the pasta and adjust the salt and black pepper powder, if required
-
Mix it well and serve it hot
Recipe notes
Garnish it with coriander leaves and if you are of sufficient age then you may accompany it with a glass of red wine!
