    This recipe is a nice way give the routine rice a healthier twist. You may try this recipe with brown rice to make it even more healthy. It is a good way to make the kids have green vegetables, which they generally dislike to eat.
    Steps for Preparation
    • Wash the rice and soak them for at-least 30 minutes before cooking.

    Steps For Cooking
    • Add cooking oil to a Pressure Cooker and heat it for about 2 minutes on medium flame.
    • saute the mixture till the onions are golden brown .
    • Step-2

      Add the whole spices (tej patta, dal chinni, cloves and cardamom) add the chopped onions. Let it cook for about 30 seconds.

    • Step-3

      Add ginger paste to the above mixture and mix well.

    • Step-4

      Add the spices ( salt, garam masala, turmeric, chili powder, coriander powder)

    • Step-6

      Now add rice to the pressure cooker.

    • Step-7

      Now, Add finely chopped methi (fenugreek leaves) to the rice.

    • Step-8

      Add 1.5 cups of water to the mixture.

    • Step-9

      Close the pressure cooker and let it cook for about 5-10 minutes. Close the heat source once the cooker blows out one whistle .

    • Step-10

      Serve Hot!
