Wash the rice and soak them for at-least 30 minutes before cooking.
Add the whole spices (tej patta, dal chinni, cloves and cardamom) add the chopped onions. Let it cook for about 30 seconds.
Add ginger paste to the above mixture and mix well.
Add the spices ( salt, garam masala, turmeric, chili powder, coriander powder)
Now add rice to the pressure cooker.
Now, Add finely chopped methi (fenugreek leaves) to the rice.
Add 1.5 cups of water to the mixture.
Close the pressure cooker and let it cook for about 5-10 minutes. Close the heat source once the cooker blows out one whistle .
