This is a typical punjabi chhole recipe that i've tried to make. This is a simple and flavor rich recipe, easy to make and totally delicious. I made Chhole with very less curry. Totally loved it. i hope you enjoy too.
      • Soak the chickpeas in water over night. Add enough water because they tend to increase in size when soaked.
      • In the mixer, add the chopped onions, garlic, ginger, green chilies and grind them together.
      • Heat some oil in a pan and add the above mixture in it and cook the masala on low flame.
      • Cook the mixture till the onions turn brown in color.
      • Add water if you see the mixture drying up,during the cooking process.
      • Then chop some tomatoes and grind them in a mixer.
      • Then add this tomato puree to the onion masala once the onions are brown.
      • Let this masala cook. The tomatoes will separate the oil from the masala , that’s when the masala will be perfectly cooked.
      • Add the red chili powder, salt and haldi to the masala and mix nicely.
      • Add the garam masala in the end to add onto the flavor.
      • Serve with Roti/Puri.
      • Step-11

Next, add the chanas to the masala and mix them.

      • Step-12

Let it cook for a few minutes.

      • Step-13
