Collect all the ingredients at one place so that it becomes easier and quick to make the salad.
Peel raw papaya and shred it, making long threads
Peel a carrot and shred it finely. You can also grate it making long shreds
Finely slice spring onions/ onions and basil leaves
Take the shredded raw papaya and squeeze out a little of its juice.
Coarsely crush the roasted peanuts with a help of a rolling pin.
In a bowl put jaggery, tamarind paste, garlic paste, red chili paste , red chili flakes, lemon juice, salt, basil leaves and little crushed roasted peanuts.
Stir well until the dressing is ready
In a large bowl add shredded raw papaya, shredded carrot, spring onion, basil leaves, roasted peanuts and pour the dressing. Mix it well.
Garnish it with roasted peanuts, sesame seeds and a small sprig of basil leaf.
