      This is one of my favorite Chinese dishes. I have been trying to perfect this dish since a long time and this time I think it’s great! It requires a little extra effort than the commonly used quicker methods of preparing honey chili potato, but the result is worth it. Also, I did not use MSG and so maybe my recipe might taste different but this is the way I like it.
      Preparation
      For the batter
      • Add the potatoes to this new batter and give it another mix - The potatoes are now ready to be fried.
      • Deep fry the Potatoes in cooking oil two times. First semi fry them and cool them on a plate, Then fry them again till dark brown and crispy.
      • Step-1

        In a bowl mix one cup flour with two tablespoons of baking powder one tablespoon salt and two tablespoons of olive oil.

      • Step-2

        Mix the batter till its flakey like breadcrumbs.

      • Step-3

        Chop the potatoes into thin strips, as you would when making fries. Add these chopped potatoes to the mixture and mix them well with your hands . Then put them aside.

      • Step-4

        Make a second batter with 1 cup flour, 2 Tablespoon baking soda and 2 Tablespoon oil. This time add some water to make it like a paste.

      For the Honey chili Sauce
      • Take some oil in a frying pan and add round chopped onions and a green chili to it.
      • Mix 2 tablespoons of corn-flour to 1/2 a cup of water.
      • Let the mixture boil for about a minute, then add the capsicum to it.
      • After about two minutes close the heat source and let the sauce cool down. Wait for two minutes before adding 4 Tablespoons of honey to the mixture.
      • Wait at least five minutes before adding the potatoes to the mixture.

        After 30 seconds add the garlic cloves ,broccoli pods, carrots and baby corn shoots to the pan.

      • Step-4

        After about another minute add the corn-flour mixture to the pan and immediately add two tablespoons of soya sauce and two tablespoons of tomato ketchup to the pan. You may also add some chili paste to this if you want it to be a little spicy.

      • Step-8

        I added Sesame seeds to the mixture also, but you may choose to add them later just for the garnishing.

        Once the 5 minutes are over add the potatoes.

      For the Garnish
      • In a small pan roast the sesame seeds for 60 seconds on low heat.

      Garnishing Ideas
      • Garnish the potatoes with Sesame seeds and Coriander if possible
