This was the first time I was baking a cake and so I wanted to try a cake that is easy to make. I think marble cakes are the best when you want to eat a light cake that is moist but has a little crumb. We enjoyed the cake with a hot cup of coffee.
        Preheating the oven
        • Preheat the oven at 200 degree Fahrenheit for about 5- 7 min.

        • Add oil and beat again till the mixture becomes light and fluffy.
        • Then, mix in the second lot of the flour along with baking powder and baking soda all together and beat well.
        • Add vanilla essence to the mixture and beat again
        • Step-1

In a mixing bowl add butter and sugar and beat it to make a creamy texture. You may use a blender or beat with a spatula or a wooden spoon.

        • Step-3

Then, add the eggs, one at a time, beating well in between each addition and scraping the bowl as needed

        • Step-4

Next put 1/3 of the flour to the batter and beat again until well mixed

        • Step-7

If you think the batter is too thick , add warm milk to to it.

        • Step-8

Pour in half of the vanilla mixed batter

        • Step-9

Add cocoa powder to the remaining batter and mix well so that there are no lumps. You may add a little warm milk at this step also to make the batter less thicker.

        • Step-10

Pour the chocolate mixed batter and using a fork swirl the batter to create a marble effect.

Place the cake tin in the middle of the oven and bake at 175 degree for about 40 minutes.

        • Step-2

Insert a skewer rod or a knife to check whether the cake is done.

        • Step-3

Cool it on a rack for 10 minutes and unmold the cake
